Batching and Printing.

By taking signals from various peices of equipment we can easily sort products into categories. In the case of this machine, medical filters are graded according to their flow characteristics and inkjet printed with a batch number specific to that flow rate. Depending on flow results and the batch number printed, the product is ejected into a specific bin, thus sorting all components into batches. The date and time of production are also printed onto the filter for tracking purposes. Various printing processes can be used, eg. inkjet, thermal transfer etc. .

If required, these parameters can be used for pass/fail criteria and the results may be recorded to databases etc. for production history data.
