Snowstorm Carbon Filling .

Snowstorm filling is a method of filling flat carbon beds that increases the amount of carbon compacted into the carbon bed. If you were to take a filter casing and simply pour in the carbon granules you would obtain a loosely packed carbon bed. By snowstorm filling the carbon granules, a highly compacted bed is produced with 16-18% more carbon in the same volume.

This is acheived by releasing a measured volume of carbon granules into a shaped tube where an arrangement of diverters and mesh seives randomise the fall of the granules into a 'snowstorm'.

Our specially designed volumetric dispensing system can be easily changed (automatically if required), to cope with variations in carbon granule size.

Various filter shapes can be filled from circular to oval and egg shaped. We believe that we are the first company to be able to fill square and rectangular filters by this method.
